At UnblemishMD Dermatology & Aesthetics, we believe clear communication is part of great care. Below are answers to the most common questions our patients ask about scheduling, insurance, prescriptions, and treatment expectations.
Most patients do not need a referral to schedule an appointment at UnblemishMD. However, some insurance plans may require one for coverage. If you’re unsure, check with your provider or contact our office — our team can help confirm your requirements.
UnblemishMD accepts most major insurance plans. We also offer transparent self-pay options for patients without insurance. For questions about specific plans, please call our office at (405) 692-3376 before your appointment.
Please bring:
- A valid photo ID
- Insurance card (if applicable)
- A list of current medications
- Any prior pathology or biopsy reports (if available)
- Your completed new patient forms (if submitted online, no need to print)
Arriving 10–15 minutes early helps ensure your visit starts on time.
We pride ourselves on same-week availability, but appointment times can fill quickly. We recommend calling as soon as you notice a skin concern — especially for procedures or follow-up visits.

If you’re an existing patient, please contact your pharmacy first — most refill requests are processed electronically. If a follow-up visit or updated evaluation is needed, our team will contact you.
You’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions before leaving the office. If you have questions once you’re home, call us — we’re here to make sure you heal comfortably and confidently.
For general questions, please call our office during business hours. For established patients, secure messages through our patient portal are also available for non-urgent communication.
